Timeless Valley

Location: Neander Valley, North-Rhine Westphalia, Germany

In this image runs the river Düssel - the same that lends its name to Düsseldorf - as it trickles shallow through the Neander Valley. It’s the name of this valley that helped me give a title to the image, it being the location of the original discovery of the Neanderthal species. A timeless piece of natural history, captured here in stunning autumn colours.
