About Matthew
I am an English photographer and writer bringing light to the conservation of our natural world. My passion for the art has taken me across six continents, from Norway to the northern Andes, Ha Long Bay to the Highlands of Scotland.
Inspired by my university work on a game reserve in South Africa, I graduated from holiday snaps to wildlife photography. My photography is driven by a deep knowledge of animal behaviour and wildlife conservation with the primary aim to educate and inform on the successes and struggles of our natural world.
In my landscape photography I aim to show the wonders of the natural world on scales both grand and small. Primarily this is a showcase of nature’s lesser-known sights, capturing angles often missed by those who pass through such as the North Sea in the grip of storms (Wild West Pier) and Asia viewed from the peaks of the Hong Lien rather than the Himalaya (The Roof of Indochina).
Above all is a strong will to share to wide world with all people and inspire hope that in these difficult environmental times, there is hope.
Enjoy the world we share,
Matthew
