Lutra’s Gaze

Species: Eurasian Otter (Lutra ultra)

Location: Isle of Mull, Scotland

One of the most difficult animals I have ever had to search for, this Eurasian otter appeared on the rocky beaches of one of Mull’s sea lochs just as I was beginning to give up hope. I love this image of the otter looking almost directly down the lens despite it not being aware of my presence.
