Species: African elephant (Loxodonta africana)

Location: Eastern Cape, South Africa

I spent much time observing this mother and child pairing at the watering hole. The mimicking of the mother’s behaviour was particularly enjoyable to see as the baby begin to drink deep in the summer sun.
