Concrete King

Species: Eurasian kingfisher (Alcedo atthis)

Location: Ha Tinh Province, Vietnam

Vietnam’s wildlife is in a struggling state, but there are some oases in the urban environment. This kingfisher had made its home among the ponds of Ha Tinh Province's rice fields where here it had settled along the walls of an irrigation canal, lit beautifully by a setting sun.
